5 QUICK & EASY WAYS TO BUILD YOUR EMAIL LIST

If you want to release your reliance on social media AND connect reliably with your clients and prospects – email is the way to do it!

Email open rates are way higher than social media post read-rates AND when people open and read emails they are more likely to be fully engaged in reading that email (how often do you feel fully engaged on a social media post!!?).

So to help you use this SCALE STRATEGY to grow your online education and coaching business, here are 5 WAYS TO BUILD YOUR EMAIL LIST, here they are:

1. LEAD MAGNET

This is the easiest and most effective way to consistently add qualified leads into your email list.

Create a rapid-implementation Cheatsheet / Checklist / Plan to help your ideal client take a step closer to being ready to work with you!

The downloadable PDF should give them a very specific solution to a specific problem and demonstrate your expertise in the area.

Keep it simple!

This is a low-investment way for cold leads to check you out – so don’t make it too long, too time consuming or over-deliver too much information.

Lead Magnets are always given in exchange for an email address, so make sure you’re gathering that information, adding them to your email list, then emailing them the download.

Regularly offer your Lead Magnet on the socials and plaster it all over your website.

2. BLOG

Blogging is a cornerstone SCALE STRATEGY that has So Many Benefits it’s literally INSANE!

Blogs stored on your website are mapped to google, so as long as you’re answering common questions asked by your aligned client, your blog has a good chance of popping up in their search results.

Make sure you’re sharing really useful information relevant to your audience and that your blogs are easy to digest and take action from.

In your blogs you should be adding links to download your Lead Magnet and offering a simple sign-up to join your email list so they don’t miss future blogs.

You should also have a ‘Meet the Author’ footer that introduces your core offers and gives an opportunity to book a call with you (see mine below).

3. CONTENT UPGRADES

To increase your chances of gathering email addresses with blogs, you can write a condensed version of a blog and then give a link to additional BONUS content / download.

Have the bonus content pre-written so anyone who signs-up automatically receives it (and preferably follow this up with an automated email nurture sequence towards your upsell!!)

4. TALK ABOUT YOUR EMAIL CONTENT

Before sending every email I let my Social Media community know what high-value info I’ll be sharing later that day and give the sign-up link so they don’t miss out.

5. HOST A FREE MINI-EMAIL COURSE

I love this one because it keeps the focus in the emails so subscribers get into the habit of opening yours!! 

Create a short 5-Part action-oriented email course that helps your aligned client take a step closer to being ready for the full transformation / shifts their belief about what’s possible for them, and offer it across your social community.

Write and schedule the emails and this turns into a second high-value lead magnet you can offer throughout the year.

That’s it – super simple, easy to implement tactics to fill your email list.
