Within the space of a few months you buy the masterclass. Then the bootcamp. Then the “limited-time must-have” low ticket training. Then the micro mastermind. Then the pop-up private podcast. Then the “This Is The One” offer that’s gone in 24 hours.

And each time, you think: “This one will finally make it all click.”

But it doesn’t. Because before it can you’re sold the next one.

Then before you know it, you’ve invested $20k into 12 months of access to hundreds of courses spanning all the topics under the sun and all you know is that you absolutely must get through them all to get your money’s worth and because you can’t miss a single golden thread this mentor is weaving for you…

At the end of that year you’ve spent thousands. You’re swimming in ideas. But your business hasn’t moved an inch.

Because you’ve been taught to learn, not lead.

Let’s Call It What It Is:

This Isn’t Mentorship – It’s Monetisation in a Pink Frock

Some mentors don’t build programs. They build pipelines. From your FOMO to their Stripe account.

They don’t want you empowered, they want you enchanted. Hooked. Hungry for the next “aha” that keeps you circling their cash register.

Because an almost-ready client is a repeat buyer. Almost clear. Almost confident. Almost there.

And while you’re stuck in that suspended animation, they’re stacking launch after launch, turning your hope into their revenue stream.

Here’s the real kicker: If they actually taught implementation? If they helped you build momentum? You’d stop buying.

And that doesn’t fit their Six-Figure-Day persona. Because they’re not selling your success – they’re selling the illusion that you’re one step away from theirs.

I’m a lifelong learner. I love a firehose of inspiration as much as the next high-achiever.

But learning without activation? That’s a trap dressed up as progress.

It gives you the illusion of growth while keeping you in the exact same place.

And when you stay there long enough? It starts to feel safe. Smart. Strategic. But it’s not. It’s a hamster wheel in disguise.

Some Hard Truths You Might Need to Hear:

→ If you’re learning more than you’re implementing, your business is spinning in one place not moving toward someplace new.

→ If you’re buying from the same mentor again and again without traction or implementation, it’s not working (no shade here – they could be teaching incredible stuff but if you don’t implement it aint’ worth it)

→ If every insight comes with a new upsell? That’s not leadership. That’s manipulation in a Canva template and quickly created sales page.

Before you buy anything else, ask yourself:

• Does this match my Business Goals for the quarter?
• Do I already have unimplemented knowledge that solves this?
• Am I buying this to avoid doing the hard thing I already know?
• Will this training replace, refine, or duplicate something I’ve already got?
• Is this a real priority or am I just in a FOMO Fog?
• Does this mentor actually help me implement or just sell me the next thing?

If you say yes to 2 or more ⛳️ You don’t need another course. You need a pause.

The Bottom Line:

This industry doesn’t need more offers. It needs more integrity.

Business Mentors: Build signature programs that solve specific problems in a real and implementable way. Create containers that compound. Stop treating your ideas like they’re limited-edition handbags.

Coaches: Buy like a business owner. Lead your development. Don’t confuse consumption with growth.

It’s time to stop buying what you don’t need and start activating what you already know.
