Women of our generation are some of the most powerful creatures on earth today.

And yet, so many of us don’t even realise just how much strength, insight and lived brilliance we carry within us.

We’ve been through it all – raised in a time of conflicting expectations, silenced emotions, and unacknowledged trauma.

And now, as we enter our 40s, 50s and beyond, something powerful is happening.

We’re waking up.

Raised Between Two Worlds: Survival and Freedom

We were raised by a generation who were raised by the generation who lived through war, scarcity, and silence.

Our grandparents survived the Great Depression and World Wars.
They grew up with nothing – no safety, no space to express emotion, no room to dream.
Children were expected to be quiet, grateful, and obedient.
Hardship wasn’t just normal – it was expected.

So when their children – our parents – began to raise us, even though they’d come of age in the liberating 60s, they were still rooted in 1940s and 50s values.

The result?
We were raised in households that were often emotionally scattered, mentally rigid, and quietly chaotic.

The Forgotten Generation: Unseen, Unheard, Unheld

We were the in-betweeners.

The generation before mental health was a conversation.
Before neurodivergence had names or diagnosis.
Before “feelings” were considered valuable data.

We were left alone.
Latchkey kids.
Sat in pub car parks with a bottle of pop and a bag of crisps while our parents drank inside.
We were taught independence by necessity, not design.

We were told to be free, but conditioned to stay small.
Told we could do anything, but still expected to follow the rules.

And most of us internalised it all.

We Did It All… And Forgot Ourselves In The Process

By the time we hit adulthood, we were the first generation expected to do everything:

• Get married and have kids
• Build a career
• Look amazing doing it
• Never complain
• Never crumble
• Never stop

And we did it.

We crushed glass ceilings, raised families, partied hard, climbed ladders, and burned ourselves out in the process.

We didn’t pause to ask:

• What do I want?
• What do I need?
• What do I believe?

We just kept going.
Because that’s what we were taught.

Midlife: The Great Awakening

Then…we woke up.

Something shifted around our mid-40s.
We began to feel again.
To reflect.
To heal.

We started to see our lived experience with clarity.

The trauma.
The patterns.
The resilience.
The wisdom.

We processed.
We forgave.
We evolved.

We did the deep work most people never touch in a lifetime.

And we emerged – scarred, yes – but wiser than ever.

What We Carry Is Legacy-Level Wisdom

We are not ordinary women.

We are fire-walkers.
Soul excavators.
Cycle breakers.

We’ve studied self-help books and spiritual texts.
We’ve coached ourselves through breakdowns and breakthroughs.
We’ve been in therapy, in healing, in silent self-reflection for decades.

We’ve navigated personal development trends before they were hashtags.
We’ve lived through societal shifts, identity revolutions, financial crashes, and pandemic chaos.

And we’ve done it all while raising families, building businesses, leading teams, and showing up.

Now?

We are bursting with wisdom.
