The word evergreen in this case simply means always on.
Just as an evergreen tree stays lush all year, an evergreen funnel works continuously, not just during the frenzy of a launch. It’s live every day, quietly guiding people toward becoming paying clients whether you’re running a webinar, taking a holiday, or hiking up a mountain.
The second part of the phrase – funnel – simply describes a journey.
Imagine the shape of a funnel: wide at the top, narrow at the bottom. People first discover you through a blog, a podcast interview, or a LinkedIn post. A smaller group chooses to learn more, and a smaller group again decides to buy.
An evergreen funnel simply designs this journey on purpose so that new people enter the top every day and the right ones naturally reach the bottom.
I call this The Simple Client Pathway® because it captures the human side better. Rather than a mechanical chute, think of it as a well-lit path through a museum: clear direction, interesting stops along the way, and value at every turn.

2. A warm welcome. The first email delivers the freebie and sets expectations. It’s your chance to introduce yourself, share your approach, and begin a relationship built on trust.
3. A nurture journey. Over the next few days you send a handful of emails – typically five to seven – designed to tell stories, provide value, answer objections, and show proof. This is where curiosity turns into confidence.
4. A conversion moment. Somewhere in the sequence you invite them to take the next logical step: join a low-ticket workshop, book a call, or invest directly in your core offer. This is not a hard sell; it’s a natural next step in a well-lit pathway.
5. Follow-up and long tail. Not everyone buys immediately, and that’s okay. Automated check-ins, valuable evergreen content, and retargeting keep you present so that when they’re ready, the decision is easy.
Every part of the funnel is built once and refined over time. Traffic from global search, LinkedIn, YouTube, or light paid ads keeps new people entering. Once inside, the pathway does the heavy lifting for you.
