3 SIGNS YOUR BUSINESS IS IN TROUBLE

Here are some warning signs to look out for if you fear your business may be in trouble…

1. you haven’t spoken to a prospect in over a month

2. you’re not drawing a regular salary

3. you’re not generating new work

If you’ve been nodding along take a deep breath and don’t throw in the towel just yet!

At some point of another, all business owners experience one or more of these things, so you are definitely not alone.

At the start of your business journey, it can feel like everything is conspiring against you, but remember that it’s always darkest before dawn and that’s when it’s time to dig deep and keep going!!

Running a business certainly isn’t easy – if it was, everyone would be doing it!

A year after I started my business I experienced all 3 of these – and it nearly drove me to quit.

For three long and excruciating months I had no work at all – not one sniff.

It messed with my confidence, drove me from faith to fear and from courage to panic…but I didn’t give-in!

For me, failure has never been an option.

I had to make it work, because going back into the corporate world made me feel physically sick.

I’d given that life my all, and in return had been bullied and burnt-out – there was No Way I was going back!

So I decided to use the time wisely – I rolled up my sleeves and started working on my business.

I reviewed my business plan, adding new marketing strategies; tweaking my offer; streamlining my sales processes.

I spent time getting to know my ideal client better so that I knew what to say, and when, to evoke compelling emotions.

I engaged with people, put feelers out, spoke about the value I delivered.

After 3 long months the work started to flow again, and thanks to the work I put in during that dry spell, I never got into that position again.

Taking those three months to solidify my business foundations strengthened both me and my business, and I believe not having a Business Plan is the cause of many business failures.

Because of my own experience, and knowing the impact it could have had on me and my business had I not the right marketing experience to fix it, is why I created Your Business Playbook.
